Blogs are like bubbles and the only way you can get your bubble to grow is to fill it up with something. Bubbles need air or gas to expand. Blogs are a little more complicated. Your blog, just like a bubble needs something to fill the void, content. However, the other added element needed, unlike blowing up bubbles, is traffic.

How do you get traffic? There are many ways. For one, you can pay for traffic. I've never done that, but many people do. However, what can you do to get traffic to your blog if you can't afford to pay for it? How can you get free traffic to your blog? You have great content, you've got a nice looking blog, but you don't have traffic... how do I do this? How do I get traffic?

That is where the buzz factor kicks in. There are many ways to generate a buzz. Some people offer contests, some people create blog memes and others write posts on controversial topics. Along with the various buzz building tactics comes a reaction. A reaction is the result of blog buzz. The reactions are either negative or they are positive.

Depending on what kind of buzz tactic you use will warrant which kind of reaction you get. So the key to getting traffic is by creating a buzz. But, within that, it is advisable that you create a buzz that scores a positive reaction. Otherwise, your create one hit wonder traffic, which are people who visit your blog and don't like what they see and never will return again.

A bubble environment is something you want your blog to become for as many people as possible. The more people who are in your bubble, the bigger and stronger your bubble gets.

To create a bubble blog environment, you have to understand that basics needs of people in regards to what people look for in blogs. I call this, SEMI.

Use SEMI Buzz Tactics

Stimulate. People want to stimulate their brains. Our brains are filled with thousands of pulsing receptors that need to be stimulated at all times.

Entertain. People want to be entertained. Why else do we have The Comedy Channel and a million and one Blond Jokes?

Motivate. People want to feel good. They want to be encouraged and supported. People want to be motivated and pushed towards achieving things.

Informed. People want to be aware. We want to know whats going on, how did it happen, who was the cause of it, when did this happen and where do I go?

Now, in the process of creating a positive buzz, you should remember SEMI and ask yourself this, "Is my post going to stimulate, entertain, motivate or inform people?" If you can get a yes for all four questions, you then have yourself an excellent post!

Now doesn't that sound great? Much better than your typical random ramblings, cheesy blog memes and link list posts. It doesn't matter what topic you have chosen for your blog, you have an audience. The best way to reach out to your audience is to give them SEMI!

What to look out for when promoting affiliate products

Idealistic i know, but not unreasonable for affiliates to get paid for each and every sale/benefit to the merchant that we generate. After all, this is only if we do it, not for any other reason.

This year has been strange, a merchant telling me point blank he will not remove the number because he earns too much money from it. Other merchants trapped into a corner they finally admit most of their sales come via phone.

This all stems from the networks, you can not blame the merchants. If it was a requirement to start a program it would be done but i fear this year has seen a quality decrease over the last as more networks are frightened to ruffle merchants feathers for fear of other networks winning a precious trophy title.

Do not get me wrong, i am not griping but i would networks to stand up a little bit more next year and install program quality managers to look out for our interests, there is no excuse any more not to have one and to report the benefits of achievements to affiliates.

We will not mention any names but let 2007 be the year that merchants are actually told what is expected, from the survery of 12 merchants i just called today only two of them were aware of the telephone number issue, 3 of them said they would sort it out by the end of tomorrow for us.

My goal this week for my newest website:
Its going to a 20 page website. Following this plan I really like this plan!! and I must say it is much better than alot of the other stuff I have read in the MANY e-books I have either bought or downloaded. (thats a whole other post though)
I think maybe the article submissions might be alot of work at the begininning. So I'll just have to stay disciplined and stick to the plan.
So far work on the site is rolling along, still lots I would like to get done
1.) Adsense on the pages
2.) affiliate products in the appropriate places
3.) Additional content. Not using plr though.
4.) Newsletter email capture
5.) creating my own product
Yowsers lots of work ahead of me
I have'nt submitted it yet... think I should I wait till its done, or just submitt it as is?
I havent changed any of the forum sig files to include my making money blogging site at this point either. I just dont want people showing up and seeing a half done site.
Still doing keyword research to properly optimize the pages. Lots to do !!!

A long time ago in an email far far away, Joel comm released his instant adsense template product. (notice the lack of an aff link)
Has he gone over to the dark side with this.?
Joel comm has done very well for himself and is a very knowledgeable resource if you're looking at going beyond what google has to say about monetizing a website or blog using adsense.
But his latest venture I have to question.
I know he knows as do the other copy cats and hucksters that publishing duplicate content will just get you delisted or banned or what ever the great gods that be at google deem fitting.

There a PLR craze going on right now, has been for a while to be honest. And loads of people are jumping on this bandwagon. To make a fast buck by fleecing visitors whilke providing nothing other than a mish mash of adsense block.
Yes the arguments are many and varied for and against this kind of business practice.
Sorry people I just dont see it as running a business, developing a relationship. Solving a problem or providing a high quality product that someone will find useful.
Why wuld you want to run a site like this. Leaving that footprint all over the net in plain view of the SE's only to have them delist you or bann your adsense account altogethor.
Some of the other instant adsense template products are being promotes as a cloaked site, Cody Moyas product anyways, one the SE's sees and one the visitor sees. Now I havent read the Adsense TOS but I'm pretty sure this is a no no.

Hunting for a good website template

So as I mentioned in the last post " I bought hosting with host gator. I have rolled some of my affiliate marketing commissions into hosting.

Now I driving myself crazy with chosing a template to work with. For now anyways Im using an xsite pro template. I got from some place. Cant say I remember where though. Might have been in one of the many thousands of list mailing i have gotten over the past year or so. Anyways. As I said Im driving myself nuts. I fidget with details, that's part of my silly charm. I really wish someone would come out with an affiliate marketing Website template.

Heres my host gator review.
Ive been toying with the idea of buying some hosting getting my own website up and running. So I toiled with the whole thing of who to go with I looked at go-daddy. But didnt like their commercials. Sad I know but hey I watch a whole lot of tv. And didnt like the commercials so that was out. So I did more searching, looking for cheap hosting of course. So I wound up on a friends site and saw this host gator ad.
So I decide to click away at it and see what they offer.
WOW was I surprised at how cheap hosting really can be.
I bought the baby package.

For example, would you be more inclined to click on an ad that says: "Tel. blk. crdlss. 21KF4900-A" ... or an ad that reads: "900 Mhz Black Cordless Telephone" You'd pick the second ad, right? That's because it clearly states what the offer is. Shoppers will be deterred by an obscure ad, so make sure your ad is clear, compelling and reader-friendly.

How you submit your product feed to a shopping bot site will vary depending on the guidelines of the site. Some sites make it easy to submit your feed through their online forms or downloadable software; other sites make it a bit of chore to submit your feed, requiring you to upload information through an FTP (file transfer protocol) client.

4. Register your product feed. Once you've decided which shopping bot site to use and have created your product feed, registering should take a matter of minutes. The shopping bot site administrators will review your information and product feed for approval. (Be aware that the approval process can take anywhere from a few days to a couple of weeks.)

And here's an important note: Larger shopping bot sites share their listings with affiliated sites. For example, registering with a shopping bot site like Shopping.com, which is affiliated with DealTime.com and Epinions.com, will get you listed with the affiliated sites as well at no extra cost!

Which Bots Are Best?

I've spent some time checking out dozens of the shopping bots on the Net. A number of them are good, but not all of them are worth submitting your ads to. Here are my five favorites:

My top choice is BizRate. BizRate requires a $100 deposit from its merchants, but offers low minimum bidding rates, starting at just 10 cents per click and moving up to 30 cents per click. BizRate currently ranks 272 in Alexa, which means that the site gets a huge amount of traffic.

Product feeds submitted to BizRate may take seven to 14 days to be listed, so you'll need to make sure you aren't pressed for time when advertising your goods. (Merchants with product feeds already submitted to Yahoo! Stores can submit the same feed format to BizRate.)

Grabbing the No. 2 spot on my list is PriceGrabber. This site offers many of the same features as BizRate, with one major difference: Merchants without a Web site can use PriceGrabber's "Store Builder" option to post their product or service. There are no up-front costs for the Store Builder service because it's commission based: Merchants are charged $1.00 on each sale under $15, and 7.5 percent for each sale over $15. These virtual storefronts are also covered by limited fraud protection of up to $500 with a $15 deductible.

The third shopping bot on my list is Shopping.com. This service works especially well for merchants who don't want to spend time coming up with catchy product descriptions for their product feed, as Shopping.com displays a universal description of commonly searched items at the top of a search page, with ads listed below. Of course, this may be a disadvantage if you rely on a unique selling proposition (like high-quality, or ease of use) as opposed to a competitive price.

Shopping.com offers a flexible bid-management system. For example, if one merchant bids 40 cents for placement and another bids 55 cents, Shopping.com will adjust the higher bid down to 41 cents.

To set up an account with Shopping.com, you'll need to put down a minimum deposit of $200 before submitting your product feeds.

Appearing at the No. 4 spot on the list is Yahoo! Shopping. One of the attractive features of listing with Yahoo! Shopping is that your search results will also appear in other Yahoo! search engines (such as Yahoo! Search and Yahoo! Guides).

Yahoo! Shopping operates on a PPC platform. Costs for PPC listings start at 19 cents (for categories like clothing and general household items) and go up to $1.25 (for categories like flowers and jewelry). The Yahoo! Shopping search results are listed by item type, but not necessarily by manufacturer or model number. This style of listing can be advantageous to you if your unique selling proposition is more attractive to potential customers than the price of your product or service.

The fifth bot on my list is Google's new project: Froogle Beta. Google's new free beta shopping bot ("beta" meaning "almost finished, but not quite perfect!") is online and ready for you to use. The "free" aspect of Froogle is an especially attractive element of the beta testing and should not be overlooked. In fact, it's rumored that Froogle will continue to be free even after the beta testing stages, adding to its appeal. Froogle will be relying on sponsored ads (found at the right-hand side of their web pages) to keep the shopping bot going.

Froogle also offers two convenient ways to submit product feeds:

1. By filling out their online form
2. By making use of their Froogle Feeder software, which can be downloaded on a 30-day trial basis

Froogle still needs to work out a few bugs before it can provide shoppers with accurate search results, but it ranks in my top five list because it's free and there's no risk for merchants to list their products.

I also found some shopping bot sites that had definite perks to them, but didn't make it onto my top 5, including:

E-book compiling and creation

For the past while ive been writing an e-book. Im currently using ms word to do the writing. I have the adobe acrobat ebook compiler.
But what Im curious about is how exactly to go about getting it set up for web distribution.
Do I have to up load each page in html format to a server then compile each page from there?)how do I do that?)
Or can I just compile the ebook in whole from my hard drive and then upload it?
How do I make it brandable if I want to do that.
How Do I include an auto responder in the e-book?
As you can see I'm a bit stumped at the moment.
I have googled ebook compilers and ebook creators. But not to much avail as far as how to create it. Know what I mean?
I have the ebook pretty much 90% done
So Im looking now at how to get the ebook packaged and ready.
Any help here would be appreciated to get my e-book done.
Oh just on a side note. Maybe this is a cheesy Idea. Have anyof you ever seen an ebbok with adsense in it? HAhahaha I know dumb question but maybe a good idea to be considered for further monetizing an e-book.

When you are using articles to promote your affiliate program you will, I am sure, include a link to your affiliate program in your signature. The link is great, and will get you some recognition.

However, there is a secret technique you can use to promote your affiliate program and get more traffic.

It is called Anchor Text.

Huh? What's that you might ask.

Have you ever been to a website and seen some normal words like these that are in fact a Hyperlink to another website?

That's anchor text.

It is where you use specific keywords as links to your page.

Now, why would you want to do that?

Most of the search engines pay particular attention to what words are used to link to your website. They then decide that because these words are used to link to your site, they must be relevant to your website.

So, by using the keywords you want your site to be found under as your anchor text, you will gain more relevance in the search engines and boost your rankings. This means that you get more free, organic traffic from the search engines for your affiliate program.

It's an incredibly simple technique, but is very powerful and effective. It can cause your website to rapidly climb up the search engine and be listed very high.

Of course, in order for you to effectively use anchor text, you need to have done your keyword research and know what people are searchingfor and what keywords you want to be ranked for.

Once you have done this research, you will also need to include the keywords in the page that you are linking to from the anchor text. This will help convince the search engines of your relevance and importance for those keywords.

The best tactic is to have different pages for each of the keywords. Rather than have one set of keywords point to a generic page, if you have one keyword points to one page that is rich in that keyword, then you will get much better results much quicker. The search engines will think you are much more relevant for those keywords and you will have a higher ranking.

So how does this apply to your affiliate program?

If you know what keywords you are using to promote your affiliate program, then you can use them as the anchor text for every link to your affiliate program, whether it is from a forum, a web page or an article.

Just using "affiliate program" as your keywords will not be enough to get you a high listing as so many people will do this.

You want to be niche specific. So if you were in the dog grooming business you may use "dog grooming affiliate program" as your keywords. You may even want to be more specific and use "New York dog grooming affiliate program".

Anchor text can help you race up the search engine rankings and get more organic, free traffic to your affiliate program, which will help you recruit more people to promote your products.

The third key to growing your affiliate marketing business and making more money is to "increase your 'lifetime value' ". In other words, sell more to your existing customers. You've worked hard to get the customer, so make the most of it.
You don't want to merely make one sale to your customers, but rather multiple sales.

There are a couple of ways to earn more lifetime value from your customers, both of which are important…
1. Multiple offers. One way to earn more lifetime value is to make multiple offers to your customers over time. Whether they are products you've created yourself, products
you've purchased rep rint rights to sell, or affiliate program products, you can increase the amount of profit per customer by selling them multiple products.
NOTE: What works especially well for multiple offers is to “graduate” your customers to higher priced items. They may initially buy a $20 ebook from you, but could easily be convinced to buy a $47-$97 video or membership. Then, you could work to get them to buy a $297-$497 home study course or reprint rights package. From there, you could move them on to personalized coaching or 2-3 day workshops for fees from $997-$4997 or even more. What started out as a $20 ebook could easily be turned into hundreds or even thousands of dollars being spent with you.
2. Residual offers. Another way to earn more lifetime value is through residual offers - where an existing customer pays you for the same offer over and over again. These are primarily service-based offers. Online examples include web hosting, autoresponders, match-making, private membership sites, paid newsletters, etc. The customer pays a monthly fee for the service for as long as they remain an active member.
It takes much less effort to get an existing customer to buy something additional from you than it does to go out and find more customers.
And, as you begin to saturate your market (I.E. Finding all of the customers who might do business with you), it will become more and more important to have "backend" offers in place to increase your profit from the customers you get.
As you "run out" of new customers available, it's critical to continue profiting from the database of folks already doing business with you.

A second key to growing you affiliate marketing business is to "increase your 'lead conversion' ".
That is, you need more of your website visitors and list subscribers to actually buy something from you.
You’re getting subscribers. You’re getting traffic. Now, you need to get them to spend money with you … as many subscribers and visitors as possible.
The more subscribers and visitors who buy, the more money you make. No big surprise there.
In simple terms, if you have 1,000 visitors to your site and 3% of them buy a product that you profit $20.00 on, then you just earned $600.00.
But, without any additional traffic, if the number of visitors who bought the product (lead conversion) was 4%, then you just earned $800.00. That's $200.00 more without
any additional traffic.
Growing your website traffic and your lists alone will not bring in more profits.
You must have a system in place that converts more browsers into buyers. You want a larger number of visitors and subscribers who actually become paying customers.
That's another aspect of growing your business and profits.
And, again, you need a systematic approach. There are some things you can do on a weekly basis in order to increase the number of list members who buy and the number of site visitors who buy.
Let’s take a quick look at an example of one day’s activities you can begin implementing into your own business-growing checklist…
Tuesday:
1 Add a message to one (or more) of your follow-up sequences.
2 Insert a solo mailing for your product.

7 Tweak your salesletter to make slight improvements.

(I.E. Stay at home moms, senior citizens, real estate agents, Christians, etc.)

15 Create landing pages for specific “hot buttons”. (I.E. “Only $10”, “Results in 24 hours”, “No experience necessary” and “Try before you buy”.)
16 Create landing pages for specific events and occasions. (I.E. “Lose 10 pounds by spring break”, “Lose 10 pounds by your class reunion,” and “Lose 10 pounds after having a
baby”.)
Again, this is just a small sampling of the various things you can schedule into your weekly routine in order to convert more of your subscribers and site visitors into paying customers.

I can’t stress that enough.
Develop a checklist.
Note: And, trust me when I say that you’ll tweak the list from time to time to make it better. I routinely remove things that are either completed, become outdated or could be replaced by something that better uses my time.
As new ideas and technologies surface, you’ll find different (and better) ways of accomplishing what you’re after.
In fact, I actually SCHEDULE time each week to work on my schedule!
Seriously, I schedule 1-2 hours each week just to update my system so that I can continue to do what’s best for my business.
I repeat…
Just get some things on a regular schedule that you can follow week after week to gain some momentum and steadily grow your business.
Include the following in your action steps to convert more of your leads into
paying customers…

Add to all of your follow-up sequences (Including your customers!)
Make changes to your sales process.

when it comes to “building lists” and “generating traffic”.
Monday:
1.) Write an Ezine article to promote your list, product, site or affiliate link.
2.) Submit the article to your “Ezine distribution network” for results:
Publish article to your own opt-in lists.
Load article to a page at your web site.
Submit article to major article directories.
Submit article to your list of ezine publishers.
Inform your affiliates and JV partners of your article.
3.) Publish your weekly newsletter, including your newly written article.
Make personal remarks about a specific product or
service and offer an incentive for anyone purchasing.
Cross promote one of your free reports, blog posts, minicourses or existing articles.
Refer to any contest, joint venture project, sub-list or other business-building activity currently available.
4.) Setup a joint venture partnership to

(a) build your list, or (b) grow your traffic.

Option 1: An “all-inclusive” project with multiple partners.
Option 2: An “exclusive” project with one partner.
That’s just a sample of what you can do. The important thing is to actually

Holy host batman ! which one should I choose

Ok so I'm I'm agonizing over which hosting company plan etc etc etc. I need some feed back from those of you who are in the know?
Ive decided that Im going to start putting my money where my mouth is and host my own blog website in the very near future.
Ive looked into host gator go-daddy ( catchy tv commercial) Though I dont think i'd ever want to be a cab driver ( you guys getthat commercial in your area. Kinda corny but probably effective . They seem to be priced similarly, within a dollar or two of each other. So thats all fine and good. But I dont knwo which bells and whistles I need or should have. I'm going to be buying Xsite pro. Just because I like what I have seen lately. (mike your aff check is in the mail soon as I make some space on visa:-P)
And that Fp 2003 is kinda wonky. More than likely due to my out right laziness and refusal to constantly doctor it. I guess for me a selling point would be a hosting company that lets you or gives you a wyswg editor ( did I spell that right). Or do I have to stare at lines of code until it starts looking like a zebra. As you can tell Im a little uninitiated in the hosting arean here.

Over the past few months I've become very upset with the level of service of some of the bigger affiliate marketers. And Ive decided not to promote their products anymore. Not like they care.. hahahaha. My reasoning is , that if they cant return a simple email then i cant be bothered promoting their products. I recommend that before you decide on promoting a product from an intenet "guru" send them an email ask them a question about the product or whatever. and see if you geta response. If you dont, then dont promote the product. WHY you ask. Your own credibility is at stake here.

Every single week, devote time to getting more subscribers to your lists and more visitors to your web site.
In fact, I recommend that you create a weekly activity checklist.
That is, create a list of action steps for growing your lists and traffic and divide them into daily activities to complete.
I learned something important at my very first job, back at McDonald’s®. I was sixteen at the time, and from the very first day learning to flip burgers, I saw a priceless lesson unfold before my eyes that has proved to be invaluable to me in my own business.

Key #1: Increase Your "Market Reach"
The first key to making more money from your Affiliate Marketing business is to "increase your 'market reach' ". That is, you need more exposure among your targeted audience. Your business needs to be in front of as many potential customers as it possibly can be.
Out there in cyberspace somewhere are all of the customers who would ever possibly be interested in your products.
There is a maximum number of people out there who have the potential of
doing business with you.
Your job is to find as many of them as humanly possible. You want your marketing to reach as many of those who might do business with you.
Now, there is a simple formula that you can use to measure how well you are reaching your potential customers.
The formula for market reach on the internet looks like this…
Site Traffic + List Size = Market Reach
Just on sheer numbers alone, growing your business is based on how many visitors arrive at your website and how many subscribers you have on your list.
For example:
All things equal, 10,000 website visitors will generate more profits for you than 1,000 visitors.
All things equal, 25,000 opt-in subscribers will generate more profits for you than 5,000 opt-in subscribers.
You need more market reach than you currently have.

More website traffic and a larger list. That is one aspect of growing your business and profits.

This evening as I was killing time reading emails and other nonsense i get in my in box I came across a great story I just had to share with you. You can click on the link up top or read on a bit. I'll post a bit of a synopsis about this story. Its about a guy who set out with 100 bux in his pocet to make a million in a month and he got his start from my space.com.

Frazier went to the public library to take advantage of free Internet access and expand his networking operation.
The MySpace page he set up became the base of his operation, allowing him to package neatly what he called the Million Dollar Destiny Project and present its mission to anyone in a position to help.
He wasn't asking for charity, the site made clear, he wanted to hear the voices and receive the support of those who still believe that the U.S. is the land of opportunity and enterprise.
Over the next week, as Frazier hopped from couch to couch, dozens of people within the online community responded enthusiastically. Phone call by phone call, e-mail by e-mail, professionals from around the community were eagerly volunteering their expertise.LEVERAGING TALENT.

"[Frazier] delights in finding and leveraging the strengths of people around him. He has many, many qualities that make him an effective leader. Thus, he does not need specific business skills, he can rely on the expertise of the people around him.

Every single day I receive new offers from Affiliate Marketers and list owners. They send me an email
(along with every other person on their list) for the new "program of the month" and urge me (and you) to get in while the gettin's good.
· I'll probably die in my sleep tonight if I don't jump in today.
· Or maybe I'll disrupt the earth's gravitational pull and destroy the
world if I don't send my $39.95 in right now.
· There's just no time to waste.
· This is a sure shot.
· They've had 84 new signups in less than 24 hours.
· This is the newest and latest and best new thing that’s gonna change
the way we do business online.
· Forget about everything else that was said in the past, this is the one.
And then two days later I receive a similar email from the same list owner. The name of the program has changed, but the necessity for me to act fast hasn't. I'm to buy and buy now before the whole world finds out and beats me to the punch.
After all, there are other list owners out there.
And let me tell you what happens to those 84 new signups from two days ago. They get confused.
"Was I supposed to promote this program or is it time to move on to the new one?”
“Which one is better?”
“There's no way I can be a member of 15 affiliate programs and there's no way I could promote them all even if I had the money, so which one should I try to use?"
So, they move on and on and on, as the list owner and persons of influence continue to get rich off the sales they make.
And I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the poor, misguided, good folks who email me day after day and tell me that they still have yet to see a profit online.
And yet there are "sure shots" and "can't misses" being promoted every single day. Whatever the newest and latest program is -- everybody's sending their emails and playing the game over and over again.
And the only folks making any money are the ones who come up with the new programs and products and the Affiliate Marketing list managers and merchants who send out the urgent messages to their list members.
And we wonder why the failure rate is so high. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the overwhelming majority of folks trying to make money online quit without earning enough money to buy a large pizza in the frozen food section at their local grocery store.
Now, I'm not one of those folks who says "here's a problem, but I don't have a solution." I DO have a solution. And it's fairly simple...
1. Do the math. You only have so much money and so much time to invest. Where will it be? If someone is bombarding you with new programs to join and new products to buy every single day, then unsubscribe and find someone else to teach you the ropes. You can't join and buy them all. I don't know about your financial situation, but I do know that every single one of us is only allotted 24 hours a day. You can't effectively do everything!
2. Get a Plan. I don't care if you join my program or your buddy's program or nobody's program -- just decide what you want to do. Make a decision. Form a gameplan. Where do you want to go? How much do you want to earn? How can you do it? Find someone who is willing to invest THEIR time in YOU. Now there's a plan. How many of these folks bombarding you with their offers are actually available to answer your questions and guide you along the way and mentor you? And how many cut you loose once they have your money. Find a mentor.
Find someone who is willing to invest in YOU before you invest in them.

3. Stick to it. Please, please, please -- don't jump on the bandwagons as they come passing by. I promise you there will be more bandwagons. There will be new programs and products coming your way every day. Resist the temptation to continue going from one to the next. You'll never get any momentum at all if you quit one thing to start the next. All you'll do is waste time and money.
You've got your plan -- you may have to modify if from time to time, and even add to it -- but stick to it. Do you realize that EVERY TIME you quit one thing to begin the next that you have WASTED your time and money that you spent on the previous one?
Making money online isn't difficult -- but it can be confusing if you don't follow these three simple rules. There are times that I have to simply tell myself "no" when a new offer comes by -- and I just stick to my plan. I know where I'm going and I'm not going to be derailed by the latest and greatest to come down the pike.
How about you?
You need some MOMENTUM. You need to push and keep pushing. You need to get that car -- your business -- moving down the road. Sure, it will be slow at first. But, if you keep pushing, sooner or later it's going to start rolling forward. I challenge you to do the math, get a plan and stick to it. You can thank me later. J

your freebie - giving it away with no strings attached

In order to make money online as an affiliate marketer, there is one thing you absolutely MUST do. You must motivate people to read what you have to say. Whether it is your email message or your web pages, if they don't read it, you don't make money.

There are lots of ways to accomplish this and I've tried quite a few.

Among all the methods I've tried, one stands head and shoulders above the rest...

It's called "Giving something of value away for free."

Here's a perfect example of this in action:

When you saw the title of this article, were you curious as to what the "freebie" was?

Did it give you that extra incentive to investigate a little further? Hey, you've read this far haven't you? It must have been somewhat effective.

Well, rest assured, this web page does include a special freebie for you. Unlike most articles at my site, the article itself is not the only freebie. I'll get to your freebie in a minute though. First I want to elaborate a bit on this marketing ploy called the freebie.

How many times have you tried a free magazine subscription? How about a free month of internet service? Ever receive a free laundry detergent sample in the mail?

If you didn't answer yes to at least one of the questions above, I'd be very surprised.

You see, these big companies know the power of "free". Do you think they would go around giving their stuff away for free if it didn't pay off in the long run?

Hey, even if you never subscribe to that magazine, sign on with that ISP, or buy that brand of detergent, these companies have accomplished an objective. You have tried their product and heard their name. Perhaps you even were impressed by the fact that they gave you something for free.

The bottom line is that "free" works in marketing, especially on the Internet.

Now, of course you can't go around giving everything away for free. However you can and should be giving away something! Of course it has to be something of value.

Whether it is a free subscription to your email newsletter, a free software program, or something else of value, if you give it away for free (with no strings!) people will remember you.

I Should Be Stopped. Some of the Clickbank Information Here Is So Sensitive, It Should Be Made Illegal!

This is so important I had to mention it for the third time in three articles written purely on this. I had many affiliates and vendors sending me emails on my website, some of which are not suitable for reading. This is something affiliates must know

This is something many affiliates do not know yet know. It concerns affiliates and buyers alike.

Do you notice when you visit most sales pages, they have an “affiliates sign up”, “make money here” or “earn money” link which brings you to their affiliate sign up page?

Imagine this scenario, Mr. Affiliate visits the site through your affiliate link, he reads the sales copy and is impressed but the price $97 is quite an obstacle. He sees an “earn money now” link and clicks as he has been searching for this information all day. He then realizes he could get at 50% discount with the commission if he signs up with clickbank and buys through his own link.

The vendors do not want this to happen right? Wrong answer! The fact is they had intended to sell at $48.5(50%) of the price and so intentionally set it higher at $97. In addition to that, the affiliate link was prominently displayed so visitors could easily see it and sign up and get the discount. This make the buyer thinks he has got into a “winning” situation but in fact the vendor got the sale he wanted and an affiliate at the same time.

So what does it mean to you? Shouldn’t you be happy that you can get a discount on almost all books now? Wait a minute, what if you spent loads of time and money promoting that product and the visitors click on that “earn money” link? Lost money, lost time and lost commissions.

Now you know why these “affiliates sign up” or “earn money now” links does not seem so subtle anymore.

Affiliate Tip 1

Scan the sales copy before deciding whether it is worth promoting. This is a vital, essential and crucial step you must make. Rate it and ask yourself how convinced you are on a scale of ten. Scan the page for any “Earn money” links.

Affiliate Tip 2

Credibility is important. Look at the testimonials; make sure it is not any dodgy testimonial from any Tom, Dick or Harry from some American state. Are there any photos and/or proof? Are they real people with real names and websites? Do a “mock” payment with your affiliate link all the way till they ask you for your credit card. Do you see your affiliate nick at the bottom of the page? You should be seeing it.

Affiliate Tip 3
Mail the vendor. See how responsive and how sincere he is in recruiting affiliates. This is the ultimate litmus test to determine if the vendor cares for his affiliates.

Yes while it is true that more and more people are using Adwords to promote their products/services/ideas, it is NOT a bad thing. In fact, many of these advertisers do not know what they are doing! They just ‘blindly’ advertise on Adwords. You can leverage on this and use it to your advantage. Here’s how.

Number 1 – Targeting and Understanding Your Audience

This is basic stuff. You must know who will buy your product and where they reside. You must research your target audience and create ads that will reach out to them. For example, you would not want to show ads in all countries if your product suits English speaking ones.

Number 2 – Edit Ruthlessly

Just imagine you are paid $100 for every alphabet you take out. For a small text ad like Google’s you will need it to be concise, sharp, and short yet attention grabbing. People’s attention span is short. You will need to be extremely direct and to the point.

Number 3 – Split and Test Your Ads

You must do this. That is creating and showing more then just 1 ad on any ad group. Constantly monitor your ads and see which one has lower click-through rate and which has a higher one. This process will continually force you to show better ads over and over again.

Number 4 – Precise Landing Pages

Link to the direct page which is intimately related and relevant to the keyword you are searching for. Never never direct them to just the homepage, bring them to the exact page instead. Visitors never like to hand around long if they cannot see relevant content that matches your ad.

So you have an affiliate marketing website or a blog. You've spent long hours or maybe not getting it right. Adding good quality original content, making your website about cats or dogs useful to your viewers.
For what to have viewers leave your site as quick as possible by clicking on adsense ads.
Adsense is and can be a good income generator for you. And it plays right into the money for nothing mentality thats so ripe on the net today.
According to some research 14% of clicks are fraudulent. Are you going to continue to pay for clicks with that kind of click fraud. Maybe.....
Why not when you dont have to add value or content. Ie Splogs and all the newest rage in plr and instant adsense templates popping up all over the net now. All one needs to do is buy a template buy some plr ad their adsense to it and let it sit for someone to click on the ads.
Im sure this sort of marketing out rages the hard working affiliate marketer. As can be seen by the fact and numbers of advertisers who are pulling out of ppc (27%).
I personally think it degrades the internet marketing name and internet marketers in general. As I mentioned above. Some of us hopefully lots of us work hard at our craft to find good content to provide for our readers and searchers. NOt to have them leave at first click. Think about it is that what you're hinging your business on? That one click. I hope not.
I mentioned PLR articles above anyone even myself can use these... just reword it change the keywords and blammo you have original content. But do a closer inspection of these plr articles in the search how many time are the words going to appear in search. Do you want to get delisteded or hidden on page 1000 of google or what ever engine you optimize your website for?
Is it really any wonder that splogging got as bad as it did.
The fact still remains that you can make money on the internet but I would refrain from using adsense too heavily at this point.

For the past week ive been agonizing over traffic , been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to drive traffic. The above track back is a great post kind of long but very informative.
Actually what my beef is, well not really a beef, yet a concern i have is and i dont know if this is even a word i'll call it link hogging. Im sure you know what I mean though. I have a PR4 blog and im more than willing to share my blog with anyone wanting to include their blog on mine as long as its topical. But I havent seen that to be the case of other higher pr blogs. I personally feel i have original content. But it seems like breaking into the country club comes with some requirements like high traffic and other such stuff. LINK HOGS :-P
Ive put my feelers out this week for some link exchanging amongst some forums. My intent is to form a blog network of sorts within relevant blogs and share our infor in the form of links articles and the likes. If you're interested drop me a line

So you want to make your money online

So you want to make your money online now huh? Great. There are plenty of ways to do it. AutoSurfs, MLMs, form-filling/surveys, Affiliate Marketing, HYIP's and the good old fashioned way: Your own product on your own website.
I'll explore each of these ways in the course of this series. So if they sound like gobledy gook to you now, fear not. Its estimated that every day over 250,000 people make the decision to start earning money at home on the Internet. That's a lot of people who don't have a clue what these terms mean either. Everyone's got to start somewhere.
For most people, a reasonable course of action when choosing an online business, is to bring up their favourite search engine (if they've even got one yet) and type the words “work from home”. The number of sites that come up when you enter such a term on Google alone is 1.9 Billion. Compare this with “find a job” (425 million) or “new career” (458 million) and you get an idea of where Internet Marketers are directing their efforts.
OK. So the good news is, if there's plenty of supply you've got plenty of choice. But how do you go about choosing the one thats best for you? How do you know which one of those 1.9 billion work from home ideas gives you the best chance of success? Lets face it, you could live until you're five hundred and you still wouldn't have read them all.

And perhaps you've got your own idea, perhaps you've used The Internet enough to have identified a niche area, a business idea you want to exploit. Either way, you're entering new waters and its best to be prepared. Even if you're convinced by your own idea, it is still adviseable to watch, and even join, one or two of the work-from-home offerings so you can learn about the ways in which business can and can't be done online.
There is a methodology I teach which helps people decide on which way to turn, if indeed they should turn to any of them. It uses a simple set of questions, no more than 5 in each set, and as long as you are honest to your core, your answers will steer you in the right direction.
The first set is 4 quick questions that you should answer without giving too much thought to. Just read them each and give the first answer that comes into your head - give your instinctive answer.
It is important to be instinctive because once you've embarked on your online career, it will be your instinct that will direct you. Don't take time theorising about what you think the right or wrong answer should be, just give the true answer. That's the only way you'll get a useful result.

These four questions should be answered in order with a score between 1 (minimum) and 5 (maximum). No zeros. Write your answers down and keep them safe.

Here they are:
1. How computer literate am I? (Not at all - 1. Exceedingly – 5)
2. How is my self-discipline? (Terrible - 1. Excellent – 5)
3. How positive is my outlook on life? (Miserable - 1. Excellent – 5)
4. How much can I afford to fail? (I can't - 1. It really doesn't matter – 5)
In part II we'll analyse your results and move on to the next stage in the process. In the meantime, enjoy researching and getting a feel of what's out there.

Stop losing Valuable Traffic to your website
Be creative when thinking of ways to make your product or service more attractive to your target market. For example, the New York Times increased the type size and spacing in its editorials to make them easier for aging baby boomers to read.
You may be losing valuable traffic and not even know it! Here's something you may never have thought of before:
If I were to type your domain name -- http://www.yourdomain.com -- into my web browser without the "WWW" so it looked like this:
http://yourdomain.com … would I be immediately sent to your site or would I receive a “Page Not Found” error? Don't be too quick to answer. Think about it. Have you tried this before?
Because while most web hosts and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are now set up to accept both, some are not! And this means that visitors who drop the "WWW" and simply type “yourdomain.com” into their browsers may be getting an error message… and you may be losing valuable traffic!
If you try this and find that "yourdomain.com" doesn't work, contact your web host or ISP and request that they make the necessary changes. It's a quick 5-minute fix for them… and everyone they service will benefit.
Some may try to charge you a fee for this change, but I would argue that this is a common service provided by the majority of ISPs and web hosts today. If they want to remain competitive and keep your business, then you shouldn't have to pay.
However, if they still insist on charging you, and the fee is minimal, then you should pay it. After all, you're probably losing valuable traffic that will more than pay for this expense in the long run.
It's such a minor problem… but it could be losing you major traffic! So check into this today!

So, what is a home based business owner to do to get more customers? Why not go back to basics.

Direct Mail (Snail Mail) Marketing is one of the oldest and most profitable strategies for gaining new customers. It has been around for years. Why? Because it works!

Now, I’m sure if you are anything like me, you plow through a lot of snail mail each day, most of it unsolicited and unwanted. I use a Post Office Box in my town, and whenever I pick up my mail, I am amazed at the overflowing garbage cans in the Post Office lobby where most box owners sort through their mail.

But, what if you could snail mail advertisements to people who wanted information on home based business opportunities or wanted to buy your product or service? For the price of a lead, postcard and postage, your message would reach many interested prospects. I can do it for a whole lot less if I send out 250, 500, or even 1000 or more since most companies will give discounts on direct mail leads and larger print orders.

I just found a very cool way to get your site indexed over at associate programs forum
1) Just post an auction / for sale posting on Ebay for selling ad space on your website
2) Since you're selling ad space you can definately put your full URL, hyperlinked to show bidders where their ads will be placed
3) You can even put links to individual pages
4) SE spiders will follow your listing and index your site very quickly

You don't REALLY need to be selling ad space, and you dont need to pay for anything other than the very basic listing which is a couple of cents in Ebay.

Nobody will ever see your listing because of how competitive ebay is right now, and considering the fact that you're not paying for the bold title, gallery listing and all the other feautres.

But the SE spiders will definately see your post, and follow through to index your site.

You can keep re-posting the same listing for regular indexing.

If someone actually BIDS on your posting, then you just got another source of revenue... lol...

My posting hasnt been historically chatty. I try to stay away from the chatty end of blogging with this blog. Fisrt off I'd like to say Hi and thanks to my loyal readers on your favourite rss reader. Its always nice to see my readership grow. That says something ! I hope you're finding this blog helpful.
I do try hard to find content thats worthwhile. And I do spend quite sometime crafting my posts to make them useful. I hope you dont find the content too dry, I like to keep it factual, give my readers tip and tricks or ideas along with affiliate products to purchase and use for profit.
Recently (last click bank pay period) I made 12 sales !!! Much to my surprise. And to be very honest I have no idea where they came from!! I post around quite abit on various forums and other blogs. It is important that you know where to find affiliates and that you choose the best affiliates for you and your niche site.
When you pick an affiliate, it is important that you determine which companies you will profit best from based on the frequency that the product is likely to sell. There are several types of affiliates and some will offer you more money from a sale than others will. Before you get hazy-eyed by dollar signs, however, remember some products are bound to sell more than others.
If you sell on product four times a year from a little known company that gives you $100 per sale or sell a well known product 3 times a week at the rate of $10 per sale, then you will make much more money with the $10 per sale product.
Often times large well known companies will offer a very small profit per sale because they are established and know that their product is likely to sell well.
Small, unknown companies, on the other hand, need all of the promotion they can get. Also, because they are unknown, their products are likely to sell less frequently.
The most important rule when picking affiliates to promote on your site is to pick products that would be of interest to those who would likely visit your niche site. Otherwise you will be promoting a product to a group of people who do not even want nor need it.
If your niche site targets parents of young children, then promote baby products.
If you niche site targets gardeners, then promote gardening products.
If you promote baby products to gardeners, you are almost guaranteed to not make a profit no matter how much money the affiliate company offers for a sale.
Lastly, there are two main ways to find an affiliate company for your niche website.
You can sign up with a company that manages the accounts of hundreds of companies, big and small, and apply for the products within these accounts or you can do a web search for companies that would match well with your niche, visit their websites, and see if they advertise an affiliate program.

Every once in a while a great opportunity comes along. Let me tell you about mine !!
Just a few months ago my girlfriend was introduced to lexxus international by a friend of hers. NOW I know what you're thinking... here comes another affiliate marketing pitch, and in a sense you're right. But I'll get to that a bit later.
So this friend of hers comes over and starts to sell us on the lexxus international thing. I let her ramble on for a bit soaking in the info. While my girlfriend was getting all revved up I had one question in mind. Who is this friends upline. So I asked. She told me this guy makes 35,000/month from lexxus alone. I was like yeah ok whatever. How many times have I heard this.
So she suggested I arrange a meeting with him. Sure enough he phones me a few days later to come over for a meet and greet I figured shane you have nothing to lose... So I said look I'll meet with you but bring some bank statements and some checks from lexxus.
Yeah I'm a skeptic but can you blame me. Boy did I feel like an idiot when he presented me the proof. Ok so hes the real deal I said to myself.
SO we got to talking and I mentioned im currently doing web publishing (aka affiliate marketing) well wouldnt you know it this fits right in with my current projects.

Know whats great about boomers they have money and are frikken obsessed with being young and active and into being healthy. So this means is the product must be consumable and must be high quality. AND Must WORK

So if this is so great and i was introduced to this so long ago why am I just telling you about it now. For obvious reasons really I'm not taken in by hype and I wanted to try the products, you know USE them both personally and within my family. Im pushing 40 (next year) hey forty is the new 30 ;-P So I can see the use of these products and I have a 5 year old boy So keeping him healthy is No#1 as well.

NO Im not into begging my family and friends to jump into MLM's and anyone who knows me can confirm that I just dont play that game. Like I said you get a website to market the products . But word has gotten around the network of friends and family and theyre approaching me for more of the same. Word of mouth and viral marketing. See I have learned a thing or two from affiliate marketing hahaha.

Both our parents are ageing and with out getting into details of their current medical situations. I'll say this that the products are effective and do work and we have had many numerous repeat sales with out mentioning that we're doing an MLM. I have my mom using Noni juice and the cluster concentrate from lexxus. And she loves it.....

SO I tested the product and I like it and more important I have seen results from the ones I care most about.

The bottom line is this. I'm directly beneath a major player Canada. THAT ALMOST NEVER HAPPENS. And its the only reason other than the fact from a purely emotional state that our parents use the products and like the benefits they see other wise I would have passed up on this BELIEVE me.

Today, clear leaders have emerged, narrowing my recommendations to the top three contenders:

* GOOGLE http://www.google.com The most important of the three, Google has a 49% share of the search market.

* YAHOO! http://www.yahoo.com A distant second, Yahoo has a 22% market share.

* MSN http://www.msn.com With 11% of the market, MSN is still worth focusing on.

With fewer search engines, keeping on top of their ever-shifting algorithms has become critical. If you can get a top listing on Google, for example, you can double your potential customers!

A new way to drive free traffic to your site is to write short articles related to your industry and post them on e-zine article directories such as EzineArticles.com http://www.ezinearticles.com.

Include your tagline at the bottom of each article you write and watch your traffic increase exponentially -- as well as your inbound links (which the search engines consider when ranking your site!).

Take advantage of as many FREE sources of traffic as you can to drive tons of targeted traffic to your site!

The secret to getting listed by google in under 24 hrs

You may or may not have heard affiliate marketers claim they can get listed in Google in only 1 day. It seems that nearly 100% of the affiliates you run across in forums act like in order to get indexed by Google within 24 hours is some miracle feat that can only be accomplished by doing some "top secret" marketing tactic
or advanced optimization strategy.
Well, the truth of the matter is...
Getting listed in Google in under a day is quite easy!
First let's talk about what NOT to do. This drives me absolutely crazy when I see people doing this, and is actually what I did at one time as well. After you read this lesson, DO NOT waste your time doing this. The following URL probably looks familiar to you: http://www.google.com/addurl.html
This is Google's actual website submission form. They state that you can use this form to submit your website to their index of websites and it can take up to 6 weeks for your website to be placed into their index.
I don't know about you, but 6 weeks is a heck of a long time to just wait for your website to be placed in their index rotation, let alone get a top ranking!
Never Use The Google Submission Form!
You should never use this form, or any other of the top search engine's submission forms. These search engines include Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, Alltheweb.
So, how do you get your website indexed within 24 hours?
Let's stick with our weight loss website for now, and I will take you through the steps you'll need to do to get indexed by Google in under 24 hours, in almost all cases.
Go to Google and enter the broadest keyword you can think of that's related to your website. In our example, it will be "weight loss". Once you've done this, you'll see a list of Google results.
Browse through each website and pay particluar attention to the Google Page Rank of the website.
Google Page Rank is measured by the number of websites and the "importance" of those websites that link to your website. In general, the more websites that link to your
website, the higher your Page Rank will be.
So, as you're looking at these top ranked websites for the search term "weight loss", you should try to find websites with a Page Rank of 6 or higher.
Once you've found several websites like this, you should search their website for their contact information.
Once you find their contact information you should send them an email asking if they will link to your website in return for you linking back to their website. If you do this correctly and professionally, they will respond and will place a link on their website to yours.
Note: Obviously, in order to persuade someone to add your link to their website, you must give them a good reason to do this. So, always contact sites that are highly related to yours AND always think of a way that you can offer them something their visitors would benefit from if they add your link.

You know those annoying "comments" that seem to have little if anything to do with the topic of your content. Or they may read like "nice blog" then some anchor text.
These blogs are usually keyword dense and are used to spam keyowrds and usually have links back to a webite squeeze page. Usually with a sign up form or another affiliate product page. All in the hopes of generating affiliate sales. These idiots call this "aggressive marketing"

Well it looks like click bank has shut down a comment spammer.
A click bank affiliate went through all the nonsense trouble of opening 30 blogspot accounts. Then post a few few keyword packed articles with links back to a squeeze page. The merchant was contacted by clickbank and after being grilled by click bank and having to provide proof that he wasnt responsible, click bank then took action and had the blogpsot spammer shut down.
Just toclarify what spam is other than a yummy ham in a can. It is any form of non-permission based advertising or communication on the internet.
So there is hope after all. These morons are being shut down.
Sadly though. I am sure this idiot is up and running and doing it all over again.

A frequently asked question in forums is how do I get traffic to my site? Some spend many hours every week trying figure out what Google’s algorithms are doing or what they are. Why bother?
From I’ve been able to figure out, there’s “on page optimization” or SEO telling the bots what they want to hear. But being that I’m no expert on that I won’t bother talking about it. IF you want to get into that I recommend a piece of software called SEO Elite. And if you’re new at this is it can be rather confusing.
And then there’s “off page optimization” or back links to you.
What it comes to is numbers and the quality of back links to you to get your site well listed. It can take hundreds or even thousands of good back links.
It appears that one way back links seem to rank higher in importance to the SE’s than do reciprocals. But I wouldn’t write off reciprocals. I always like seeing and visiting other links on websites. It is informative and profiting from information is why we’re here.

SO how do you get one way back links.

1. Articles
Submit articles to directories. It is free to do it. And free is good.
Just make sure the articles you submit are originals and make sure they’re not duplicates. If you don’t want to write go to elance.com and hire a ghost writer, to generate articles for you. Your article should have some keyword density to it.

2. Press Releases
Do a press release. Some are free but you can pay for better exposure

3 - Forums
Join a forum in your niche. Create a signature file that will have your link and anchor text appear when you post and then post an article, participate in the forum. You’ll become known as a familiar face and people will start coming to your site.

4. Posting comments in blogs
Find some blogs that are in your niche or somewhat related to it and post a comment with your link and anchor text. Don’t be an idiot and spam the blogs. It’s rude really it is.

Those are free or mostly free. But eat up your time.

5. Buying Incoming links
Buying incoming links is less work, less time consuming and pays off better over the long haul. When considering buying links things to consider are: the PR of the site, the site should have a PR of 4 or greater, don’t bother with less than that. Does it have authority site links in your industry going to it. Check it out with your google tool bar. Ultimately you would want to have one or more of these “authority” links coming to you, but if not, having a link coming to you with an authority link going to them is just as well. One thing you may want to consider depending on what industry you’re in is having Charity sites linking to you. Offer a donation in exchange or something along those lines. Charities more often than not have Government sites linking to them. As do some of the newswires ie; CNN and the likes So this is a worthwhile strategy.

Just a note on the anchor text you use to link with. A good suggestion is play with it a bit. Change it while keeping your keyword or words in place. If your keyword is one word add another word to it, and so on. Google has wised up to this method of linking.

online marketer, I get to see a lot of things that the average
person doesn’t. By studying what other successful online
businesses are doing, I was finally able to “break the code
myself.”

If you’re struggling to make your first $50,000 dollars online,
it’s hard to IMAGINE the possibilities.

I personally know of an online marketer who is earning
nine hundred fifty thousand dollars a year selling STOCK!

I personally know a man in the UK earning twenty-five
thousand dollars a month selling Internet marketing videos.
I sold him the reprint license!

I personally know a high-schooler earnings thousand just by
introducing people. He brokers joint ventures for others
and earns a hefty commission.

I know of another man earning millions selling products that
he doesn’t even own - on Ebay. He never takes possession
of the items, or personally handles them in any way. He just lists
the items for a percentage commission… and makes millions.

When you see how ordinary people are making their online
fortunes, you see just how possible it is for you too. You
also see that there are only a few real differences between
those doing incredibly well and those who will never even
“break even.”

One of the first differences you’ll notice is that the people
in the examples above think of their online business as a
REAL business. Even if they are operating from a spare
corner of the kitchen table, they do the things they would
do if they were running a large corporation….

- They have business plans
- They have budgets and cash flow projections
- They use methods of promotion that are proven to work
best for them, AND don’t use those that are non-productive
- They outsource things that are not suitable for them or
their company to do
- Some of them put in long hours and are actually
workaholics
- Most of them studied what others who were proven
successes were doing and sought their consultation

Another difference you’ll notice is that these people are risk
takers. They don’t take unreasonable risks, but they are
not afraid of risk either. They know, just as we all do, that
reward is usually directly proportional to risk. Any investor
knows this!

Along the same lines, they also take action. A lot of
business “wannabes” spend too much time thinking about it.
You do need to really analyze things, but then you must
make a decision. The people mentioned above are able to
make decisions… sometimes-tough decisions. Once they
make a decision, they implement it.

The other glaring characteristic they all possess is that
they don’t operate in a vacuum. They network with people
with similar interests. They realize that they have to work
WITH their competitors, suppliers, employees, and even
governments to make things happen. They are not afraid
to meet with or call others to bounce an idea off of them.
They realize that they don’t know everything and so they
seek those who can fill in the gaps in their knowledge.

These few simple traits are a big part of what I have
observed to be the difference between the successful and
the unsuccessful online businessperson. These same
traits are also a big roadmap to anyone who wants to turn
their online business around and make it more profitable.

Adopt the mindset explained above… you are in business…
there are risks you must take…you have to decide that you
are going to take actions… you need to plan it all out… and
then you need to put your plans in action.

Do this and your online business is no longer a hobby that
you are tinkering with - it is a serious business that you are
treating appropriately. Ask yourself today, are you in business
or are your online activities just a hobby.

Make money Working at home has its privileges. Where else can you feed your children while you order some office supplies or wear your slippers during an important conference call?

Articles are an excellent source of traffic to your site and have many great benefits, some of which i covered in my last post.

Articles are also an informational product that you can sell for profit.
Find a niche and write for it.

Remember that people come to the internet because they are looking for information. While it is all fine and good to offer free advice. It's even better to make your knowledge sell.

As a personal aside: I'm a mechanical contractor by day (plumber, I prefer home comfort specialist. It sounds better :-P) I am constantly asked by customers and friends and family alike. Which products do I think are best? What should I do about this problem, or that problem. Ie my hot water is too hot what should I do. My pipes make a humming sound, what should I do. How do I fix my leaking faucet. All of which I charge 55$/hr + parts to fix.

I could sell articles for these and similar questions. HOW much would you pay for an article to stop your toilet from constantly running, as opposed to paying my 55/hr+parts. Keep in mind that I would make just under 100$ off of you for stopping your toilet from running. And it takes me about 20 mins to do it. OR I could sell that same solution to you for 20$. Which would you prefer, I thought so...

People are greedy and love their money. But people are also lazy and love their money too.

So you can make money both ways.

Offer them a solution to their problems. Selling information is why you got into making money from internet advertising isnt it?
