You CAN Make 6 figures online Day 5 - Increase your lead conversion

Key #2: Increase Your "Lead Conversion"
A second key to growing you affiliate marketing business is to "increase your 'lead conversion' ".
That is, you need more of your website visitors and list subscribers to actually buy something from you.
You’re getting subscribers. You’re getting traffic. Now, you need to get them to spend money with you … as many subscribers and visitors as possible.
The more subscribers and visitors who buy, the more money you make. No big surprise there.
In simple terms, if you have 1,000 visitors to your site and 3% of them buy a product that you profit $20.00 on, then you just earned $600.00.
But, without any additional traffic, if the number of visitors who bought the product (lead conversion) was 4%, then you just earned $800.00. That's $200.00 more without
any additional traffic.
Growing your website traffic and your lists alone will not bring in more profits.
You must have a system in place that converts more browsers into buyers. You want a larger number of visitors and subscribers who actually become paying customers.
That's another aspect of growing your business and profits.
And, again, you need a systematic approach. There are some things you can do on a weekly basis in order to increase the number of list members who buy and the number of site visitors who buy.
Let’s take a quick look at an example of one day’s activities you can begin implementing into your own business-growing checklist…
1 Add a message to one (or more) of your follow-up sequences.
2 Insert a solo mailing for your product.
3 Insert a special, limited incentive for ordering your product.
4 Insert an ezine article that promotes your product.
5 Insert a testimonial for your product.
6 Insert a case study and real results for your product.
7 Tweak your salesletter to make slight improvements.
8 Test a different headline.
9 Test a different price point.
10 Test a different layout. (Background color, graphics, etc.)
11 Test a different payment structure.
12 Create highly targeted “landing pages”.
13 Create landing pages for specific audiences.
(I.E. Stay at home moms, senior citizens, real estate agents, Christians, etc.)
14 Create landing pages for specific sources of traffic. (I.E. “Special offer for subscribers of XYZ ezine”.)
15 Create landing pages for specific “hot buttons”. (I.E. “Only $10”, “Results in 24 hours”, “No experience necessary” and “Try before you buy”.)
16 Create landing pages for specific events and occasions. (I.E. “Lose 10 pounds by spring break”, “Lose 10 pounds by your class reunion,” and “Lose 10 pounds after having a
Again, this is just a small sampling of the various things you can schedule into your weekly routine in order to convert more of your subscribers and site visitors into paying customers.
This is the most important thing you can do to build your business.
I can’t stress that enough.
Develop a checklist.
Note: And, trust me when I say that you’ll tweak the list from time to time to make it better. I routinely remove things that are either completed, become outdated or could be replaced by something that better uses my time.
As new ideas and technologies surface, you’ll find different (and better) ways of accomplishing what you’re after.
In fact, I actually SCHEDULE time each week to work on my schedule!
Seriously, I schedule 1-2 hours each week just to update my system so that I can continue to do what’s best for my business.
I repeat…
Just get some things on a regular schedule that you can follow week after week to gain some momentum and steadily grow your business.
Include the following in your action steps to convert more of your leads into
paying customers…
  • Add to all of your follow-up sequences (Including your customers!)
  • Make changes to your sales process.
  • Adjust your offers. (Upsells, downsells, cross sells)
  • Recycle your traffic
  • Use exit strategies.
  • Use surveys (Find our what your leads want and why they aren’tbuying)
  • Create landing pages.
  • Conduct teleseminars, webinars and other interactive events.
  • Regularly create more free content (ebooks, mini-courses, articles, etc.)
  • Add audio and video messages to your site.
The list could go on and on and on. Just make sure you get a list and stick to it.

As I mentioned in day 3 it is very crucial that you establish a routine for your online Affiliate Marketing business. Even you dont consider it a business. If it makes you money its a business simple as that !!

Let me give you just a quick example of what your “Monday” might look like
when it comes to “building lists” and “generating traffic”.
1.) Write an Ezine article to promote your list, product, site or affiliate link.
2.) Submit the article to your “Ezine distribution network” for results:
Publish article to your own opt-in lists.
Load article to a page at your web site.
Submit article to major article directories.
Submit article to your list of ezine publishers.
Inform your affiliates and JV partners of your article.
3.) Publish your weekly newsletter, including your newly written article.
Make personal remarks about a specific product or
service and offer an incentive for anyone purchasing.
Cross promote one of your free reports, blog posts, minicourses or existing articles.
Refer to any contest, joint venture project, sub-list or other business-building activity currently available.
4.) Setup a joint venture partnership to

(a) build your list, or (b) grow your traffic.

Option 1: An “all-inclusive” project with multiple partners.
Option 2: An “exclusive” project with one partner.
That’s just a sample of what you can do. The important thing is to actually
establish a routine. Get your own list of activities to do every single week. Plan
things out into daily assignments. You don’t need to try it all at once, or
attempt to do too much.
Just get some things on a regular schedule that you can follow week
after week to gain some momentum and steadily grow your business.
Include the following in your action steps to build your lists and grow your traffic.
Write ezine articles
Create viral reports
Conduct and / or participate in joint ventures

Work with your affiliate program
Get your list members involved in marketing for you

There are countless ways to grow your lists and generate web site traffic. It’s
critical that you develop a plan here to work your way through each week. Hit
and miss tactics just won’t work. You need momentum. You need to get a
system in place. And you need to get started today!

Holy host batman ! which one should I choose

Ok so I'm I'm agonizing over which hosting company plan etc etc etc. I need some feed back from those of you who are in the know?
Ive decided that Im going to start putting my money where my mouth is and host my own blog website in the very near future.
Ive looked into host gator go-daddy ( catchy tv commercial) Though I dont think i'd ever want to be a cab driver ( you guys getthat commercial in your area. Kinda corny but probably effective . They seem to be priced similarly, within a dollar or two of each other. So thats all fine and good. But I dont knwo which bells and whistles I need or should have. I'm going to be buying Xsite pro. Just because I like what I have seen lately. (mike your aff check is in the mail soon as I make some space on visa:-P)
And that Fp 2003 is kinda wonky. More than likely due to my out right laziness and refusal to constantly doctor it. I guess for me a selling point would be a hosting company that lets you or gives you a wyswg editor ( did I spell that right). Or do I have to stare at lines of code until it starts looking like a zebra. As you can tell Im a little uninitiated in the hosting arean here.
So any feed back would be help ful. Who knows I might use your aff link to buy !!!

Affiliate Power kit

Over the past few months I've become very upset with the level of service of some of the bigger affiliate marketers. And Ive decided not to promote their products anymore. Not like they care.. hahahaha. My reasoning is , that if they cant return a simple email then i cant be bothered promoting their products. I recommend that before you decide on promoting a product from an intenet "guru" send them an email ask them a question about the product or whatever. and see if you geta response. If you dont, then dont promote the product. WHY you ask. Your own credibility is at stake here.
If someone buys a product off of your site then cant support for it, its going to make you look bad...

Building your opt-in lists and increasing your web site traffic!
Every single week, devote time to getting more subscribers to your lists and more visitors to your web site.
In fact, I recommend that you create a weekly activity checklist.
That is, create a list of action steps for growing your lists and traffic and divide them into daily activities to complete.
I learned something important at my very first job, back at McDonald’s®. I was sixteen at the time, and from the very first day learning to flip burgers, I saw a priceless lesson unfold before my eyes that has proved to be invaluable to me in my own business.
And that lesson is this: it’s all about the system. You find something that works and you repeat it over and over again. Sure, you tweak it from time to time to improve it, but it’s the system that you use.

Hers an email from a list I'm on. Its always entertaining to see whats in the heads of some of these outrageous merchants and how they try to milk you of your money by not providing anything other than the whisper of hope in exchange for a click on their ads. Heres the email.

Now you will get many views on autoresponders and long messages verses short ones.

Two sentences to remind you of the dynamite content that you wanted and telling you where to go to get it. (ps i didnt go get it from you liz sorry)
This email gives you two choices.
Take action or don't take action.
But you have to make a choice. (Good pointer there. You forgot click that big red X)
The lessons that Brad is going to lead you through not only give your great content that show cases a problem that you have, they will show you how his product makes solving those problems easy.You can play up this same principle with your own AdSense lists.
People love to get short lessons and feel like they are learning something. ( umm are you saying you're not really interested in helping people learn something but rather pushing out garbage in the hopes that some idiot will click on the adsense ad?)
Give them the 10 Lessons to Success or 5 pitfalls to avoid. (give them anything just please click on the adsense ads in the "hotspot"
Then drive them to each page where you lay out the lesson -teaching them their pain, the fate that they want to stop experiencing or avoid. You make them live the pain, but do not how tell them how to resolve it. (ok lets not provide REAL content) oh yeah this is verbatim not my bad grammar.
Then you make sure that you have your AdSense in the hot zones on your page (see your Anatomy of AdSense) to provide the handy resolution. ( the resolution to their problem mentioned in the content on your page is an adsense ad. Ok I'll click away from your site go buy that product and never come back because i forgot how unhelpful you were)
Are you afraid to wear a swimsuit because you have too much hair?(oh just say it FAT.... jeesus) A little laser could permanently solve your problem. (laser surgey isnt going to help fat people)It's simple and easy. But don't solve the whole problem. (again dont provide any content about lasers? why would I want to buy a laser? :-P) Leave them wanting a little more. "If you are considering laser surgery, then there are some questions you must ask to avoid disaster.

GET FREEKING REAL. This is by no means any way to run a business. if you have a website about fat people and bikinis then provide content for fat people in bikini's. Key #1: Increase Your "Market Reach"
The first key to making more money from your Affiliate Marketing business is to "increase your 'market reach' ". That is, you need more exposure among your targeted audience. Your business needs to be in front of as many potential customers as it possibly can be.
Out there in cyberspace somewhere are all of the customers who would ever possibly be interested in your products.
There is a maximum number of people out there who have the potential of
doing business with you.
Your job is to find as many of them as humanly possible. You want your marketing to reach as many of those who might do business with you.
Now, there is a simple formula that you can use to measure how well you are reaching your potential customers.
The formula for market reach on the internet looks like this…
Site Traffic + List Size = Market Reach
Just on sheer numbers alone, growing your business is based on how many visitors arrive at your website and how many subscribers you have on your list.
For example:
All things equal, 10,000 website visitors will generate more profits for you than 1,000 visitors.
All things equal, 25,000 opt-in subscribers will generate more profits for you than 5,000 opt-in subscribers.
You need more market reach than you currently have.
More website traffic and a larger list. That is one aspect of growing your business and profits.

This evening as I was killing time reading emails and other nonsense i get in my in box I came across a great story I just had to share with you. You can click on the link up top or read on a bit. You Can make six figures online a short course

Every single day I receive new offers from Affiliate Marketers and list owners. They send me an email
(along with every other person on their list) for the new "program of the month" and urge me (and you) to get in while the gettin's good.
· I'll probably die in my sleep tonight if I don't jump in today.
· Or maybe I'll disrupt the earth's gravitational pull and destroy the
world if I don't send my $39.95 in right now.
· There's just no time to waste.
· This is a sure shot.
· They've had 84 new signups in less than 24 hours.
· This is the newest and latest and best new thing that’s gonna change
the way we do business online.
· Forget about everything else that was said in the past, this is the one.
And then two days later I receive a similar email from the same list owner. The name of the program has changed, but the necessity for me to act fast hasn't. I'm to buy and buy now before the whole world finds out and beats me to the punch.
After all, there are other list owners out there.
And let me tell you what happens to those 84 new signups from two days ago. They get confused.
"Was I supposed to promote this program or is it time to move on to the new one?”
“Which one is better?”
“There's no way I can be a member of 15 affiliate programs and there's no way I could promote them all even if I had the money, so which one should I try to use?"
So, they move on and on and on, as the list owner and persons of influence continue to get rich off the sales they make.
And I'm sick of it. I'm sick of the poor, misguided, good folks who email me day after day and tell me that they still have yet to see a profit online.
And yet there are "sure shots" and "can't misses" being promoted every single day. Whatever the newest and latest program is -- everybody's sending their emails and playing the game over and over again.
And the only folks making any money are the ones who come up with the new programs and products and the Affiliate Marketing list managers and merchants who send out the urgent messages to their list members.
And we wonder why the failure rate is so high. It shouldn't surprise anyone that the overwhelming majority of folks trying to make money online quit without earning enough money to buy a large pizza in the frozen food section at their local grocery store.
Now, I'm not one of those folks who says "here's a problem, but I don't have a solution." I DO have a solution. And it's fairly simple...
1. Do the math. You only have so much money and so much time to invest. Where will it be? If someone is bombarding you with new programs to join and new products to buy every single day, then unsubscribe and find someone else to teach you the ropes. You can't join and buy them all. I don't know about your financial situation, but I do know that every single one of us is only allotted 24 hours a day. You can't effectively do everything!
2. Get a Plan. I don't care if you join my program or your buddy's program or nobody's program -- just decide what you want to do. Make a decision. Form a gameplan. Where do you want to go? How much do you want to earn? How can you do it? Find someone who is willing to invest THEIR time in YOU. Now there's a plan. How many of these folks bombarding you with their offers are actually available to answer your questions and guide you along the way and mentor you? And how many cut you loose once they have your money. Find a mentor.
Find someone who is willing to invest in YOU before you invest in them.

3. Stick to it. Please, please, please -- don't jump on the bandwagons as they come passing by. I promise you there will be more bandwagons. There will be new programs and products coming your way every day. Resist the temptation to continue going from one to the next. You'll never get any momentum at all if you quit one thing to start the next. All you'll do is waste time and money.
You've got your plan -- you may have to modify if from time to time, and even add to it -- but stick to it. Do you realize that EVERY TIME you quit one thing to begin the next that you have WASTED your time and money that you spent on the previous one?
Making money online isn't difficult -- but it can be confusing if you don't follow these three simple rules. There are times that I have to simply tell myself "no" when a new offer comes by -- and I just stick to my plan. I know where I'm going and I'm not going to be derailed by the latest and greatest to come down the pike.
How about you?
You need some MOMENTUM. You need to push and keep pushing. You need to get that car -- your business -- moving down the road. Sure, it will be slow at first. But, if you keep pushing, sooner or later it's going to start rolling forward. I challenge you to do the math, get a plan and stick to it. You can thank me later. J

your freebie - giving it away with no strings attached

In order to make money online as an affiliate marketer, there is one thing you absolutely MUST do. You must motivate people to read what you have to say. Whether it is your email message or your web pages, if they don't read it, you don't make money.

There are lots of ways to accomplish this and I've tried quite a few.

Among all the methods I've tried, one stands head and shoulders above the rest...

It's called "Giving something of value away for free."

Here's a perfect example of this in action:

Did it give you that extra incentive to investigate a little further? Hey, you've read this far haven't you? It must have been somewhat effective.

Well, rest assured, this web page does include a special freebie for you. Unlike most articles at my site, the article itself is not the only freebie. I'll get to your freebie in a minute though. First I want to elaborate a bit on this marketing ploy called the freebie.

How many times have you tried a free magazine subscription? How about a free month of internet service? Ever receive a free laundry detergent sample in the mail?

If you didn't answer yes to at least one of the questions above, I'd be very surprised.

FREE Work At Home GUIDE for our visitors!

You see, these big companies know the power of "free". Do you think they would go around giving their stuff away for free if it didn't pay off in the long run?

Hey, even if you never subscribe to that magazine, sign on with that ISP, or buy that brand of detergent, these companies have accomplished an objective. You have tried their product and heard their name. Perhaps you even were impressed by the fact that they gave you something for free.

The bottom line is that "free" works in marketing, especially on the Internet.

Now, of course you can't go around giving everything away for free. However you can and should be giving away something! Of course it has to be something of value.

Whether it is a free subscription to your email newsletter, a free software program, or something else of value, if you give it away for free (with no strings!) people will remember you.

I Should Be Stopped. Some of the Clickbank Information Here Is So Sensitive, It Should Be Made Illegal!

This is so important I had to mention it for the third time in three articles written purely on this. I had many affiliates and vendors sending me emails on my website, some of which are not suitable for reading. This is something affiliates must know

This is something many affiliates do not know yet know. It concerns affiliates and buyers alike.

Do you notice when you visit most sales pages, they have an “affiliates sign up”, “make money here” or “earn money” link which brings you to their affiliate sign up page?

Imagine this scenario, Mr. Affiliate visits the site through your affiliate link, he reads the sales copy and is impressed but the price $97 is quite an obstacle. He sees an “earn money now” link and clicks as he has been searching for this information all day. He then realizes he could get at 50% discount with the commission if he signs up with clickbank and buys through his own link.

The vendors do not want this to happen right? Wrong answer! The fact is they had intended to sell at $48.5(50%) of the price and so intentionally set it higher at $97. In addition to that, the affiliate link was prominently displayed so visitors could easily see it and sign up and get the discount. This make the buyer thinks he has got into a “winning” situation but in fact the vendor got the sale he wanted and an affiliate at the same time.

So what does it mean to you? Shouldn’t you be happy that you can get a discount on almost all books now? Wait a minute, what if you spent loads of time and money promoting that product and the visitors click on that “earn money” link? Lost money, lost time and lost commissions.

Now you know why these “affiliates sign up” or “earn money now” links does not seem so subtle anymore.

Affiliate Tip 1

Scan the sales copy before deciding whether it is worth promoting. This is a vital, essential and crucial step you must make. Rate it and ask yourself how convinced you are on a scale of ten. Scan the page for any “Earn money” links.

Affiliate Tip 2

Credibility is important. Look at the testimonials; make sure it is not any dodgy testimonial from any Tom, Dick or Harry from some American state. Are there any photos and/or proof? Are they real people with real names and websites? Do a “mock” payment with your affiliate link all the way till they ask you for your credit card. Do you see your affiliate nick at the bottom of the page? You should be seeing it.

Why Is It Good When More Advertisers Are Competing With You On Google Adwords, Forcing Costs Up And Saturating The Niche?

Yes while it is true that more and more people are using Adwords to promote their products/services/ideas, it is NOT a bad thing. In fact, many of these advertisers do not know what they are doing! They just ‘blindly’ advertise on Adwords. You can leverage on this and use it to your advantage. Here’s how.

Number 1 – Targeting and Understanding Your Audience

This is basic stuff. You must know who will buy your product and where they reside. You must research your target audience and create ads that will reach out to them. For example, you would not want to show ads in all countries if your product suits English speaking ones.

Number 2 – Edit Ruthlessly

Just imagine you are paid $100 for every alphabet you take out. For a small text ad like Google’s you will need it to be concise, sharp, and short yet attention grabbing. People’s attention span is short. You will need to be extremely direct and to the point.

Number 3 – Split and Test Your Ads

You must do this. That is creating and showing more then just 1 ad on any ad group. Constantly monitor your ads and see which one has lower click-through rate and which has a higher one. This process will continually force you to show better ads over and over again.

Number 4 – Precise Landing Pages

Link to the direct page which is intimately related and relevant to the keyword you are searching for. Never never direct them to just the homepage, bring them to the exact page instead. Visitors never like to hand around long if they cannot see relevant content that matches your ad.

So you have an affiliate marketing website or a blog. You've spent long hours or maybe not getting it right. Adding good quality original content, making your website about cats or dogs useful to your viewers.
For what to have viewers leave your site as quick as possible by clicking on adsense ads.
Adsense is and can be a good income generator for you. And it plays right into the money for nothing mentality thats so ripe on the net today.
According to some research 14% of clicks are fraudulent. Are you going to continue to pay for clicks with that kind of click fraud. Maybe.....
Why not when you dont have to add value or content. Ie Splogs and all the newest rage in plr and instant adsense templates popping up all over the net now. All one needs to do is buy a template buy some plr ad their adsense to it and let it sit for someone to click on the ads.
Im sure this sort of marketing out rages the hard working affiliate marketer. As can be seen by the fact and numbers of advertisers who are pulling out of ppc (27%).
I personally think it degrades the internet marketing name and internet marketers in general. As I mentioned above. Some of us hopefully lots of us work hard at our craft to find good content to provide for our readers and searchers. NOt to have them leave at first click. Think about it is that what you're hinging your business on? That one click. I hope not.
I mentioned PLR articles above anyone even myself can use these... just reword it change the keywords and blammo you have original content. But do a closer inspection of these plr articles in the search how many time are the words going to appear in search. Do you want to get delisteded or hidden on page 1000 of google or what ever engine you optimize your website for?
Is it really any wonder that splogging got as bad as it did.
The fact still remains that you can make money on the internet but I would refrain from using adsense too heavily at this point.

For the past week ive been agonizing over traffic , been pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to drive traffic. The above track back is a great post kind of long but very informative.
Actually what my beef is, well not really a beef, yet a concern i have is and i dont know if this is even a word i'll call it link hogging. Im sure you know what I mean though. I have a PR4 blog and im more than willing to share my blog with anyone wanting to include their blog on mine as long as its topical. But I havent seen that to be the case of other higher pr blogs. I personally feel i have original content. But it seems like breaking into the country club comes with some requirements like high traffic and other such stuff. LINK HOGS :-P
Ive put my feelers out this week for some link exchanging amongst some forums. My intent is to form a blog network of sorts within relevant blogs and share our infor in the form of links articles and the likes. If you're interested drop me a line

So you want to make your money online

So you want to make your money online now huh? Great. There are plenty of ways to do it. AutoSurfs, MLMs, form-filling/surveys, Affiliate Marketing, HYIP's and the good old fashioned way: Your own product on your own website.
I'll explore each of these ways in the course of this series. So if they sound like gobledy gook to you now, fear not. Its estimated that every day over 250,000 people make the decision to start earning money at home on the Internet. That's a lot of people who don't have a clue what these terms mean either. Everyone's got to start somewhere.
For most people, a reasonable course of action when choosing an online business, is to bring up their favourite search engine (if they've even got one yet) and type the words “work from home”. The number of sites that come up when you enter such a term on Google alone is 1.9 Billion. Compare this with “find a job” (425 million) or “new career” (458 million) and you get an idea of where Internet Marketers are directing their efforts.
OK. So the good news is, if there's plenty of supply you've got plenty of choice. But how do you go about choosing the one thats best for you? How do you know which one of those 1.9 billion work from home ideas gives you the best chance of success? Lets face it, you could live until you're five hundred and you still wouldn't have read them all.

And perhaps you've got your own idea, perhaps you've used The Internet enough to have identified a niche area, a business idea you want to exploit. Either way, you're entering new waters and its best to be prepared. Even if you're convinced by your own idea, it is still adviseable to watch, and even join, one or two of the work-from-home offerings so you can learn about the ways in which business can and can't be done online.
There is a methodology I teach which helps people decide on which way to turn, if indeed they should turn to any of them. It uses a simple set of questions, no more than 5 in each set, and as long as you are honest to your core, your answers will steer you in the right direction.
The first set is 4 quick questions that you should answer without giving too much thought to. Just read them each and give the first answer that comes into your head - give your instinctive answer.
It is important to be instinctive because once you've embarked on your online career, it will be your instinct that will direct you. Don't take time theorising about what you think the right or wrong answer should be, just give the true answer. That's the only way you'll get a useful result.

These four questions should be answered in order with a score between 1 (minimum) and 5 (maximum). No zeros. Write your answers down and keep them safe.

Here they are:
1. How computer literate am I? (Not at all - 1. Exceedingly – 5)
2. How is my self-discipline? (Terrible - 1. Excellent – 5)
3. How positive is my outlook on life? (Miserable - 1. Excellent – 5)
4. How much can I afford to fail? (I can't - 1. It really doesn't matter – 5)
